Job Posting Centre Manager

The British Columbia Schizophrenia Society Prince George Branch is now hiring a Centre Manager. We have a vision where those affected by schizophrenia and psychosis receive excellent treatment and services and are accepted and included in their communities. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those affected by schizophrenia and psychosis through education, support, public policy and research. Founded in 1982, BCSS PG is a charitable society located at 1139 - 6th avenue in Prince George.

The Centre Manager will possess a passion for assisting those in our community who are living with mental illness, as well as a good working knowledge of effective management strategies. The Centre Manager will report to the Executive Director. The Centre Manager will be responsible for assisting the ED in ensuring that the Activity Centre for Empowerment (ACE) is operated in a manner consistent with the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation and client-centred care.

The Centre Manager will be responsible for a large variety of tasks including volunteer management, scheduling, and developing new programming based on feedback for centre members.

Demonstrating a knowledge of severe mental illness, the Centre Manager will demonstrate the highest professional ethical standards, compassion, inclusion and thoughtfulness while helping to lead a team of diversely-abled volunteers and staff.

Holding a degree or certificate in a relevant field and possessing 2 + years of work-related experience, the successful candidate will have a passion for BCSS PG.
